The Conformity and Interoperability Evaluation Center for telecom terminals and electrical installations is a flagship initiative of the Board in its mission to regulate the sector in Cameroon.

Located in the Nkomo district of Yaoundé, the center hosts around ten specialized testing units.Among them are three laboratories dedicated to radio frequency analysis, electrical safety and protection, and electromagnetic compatibility. Together, they provide rigorous and comprehensive assessments of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

The project also integrates digitalized procedures through an ERP module, enabling managers to access test results in real time. This innovation strengthens transparency and efficiency in equipment verification and certification. Citizens can thus be confident that the devices they purchase are duly certified and meet regulatory requirements, protecting both their health and safety.

Beyond equipment testing, the initiative supports the expansion of telecom infrastructure in Cameroon. By modernizing its facilities, the Telecommunications Regulatory Board commits to advancing quality of service monitoring for electronic communications operators and reinforcing security standards, all to the benefit of users.
