ENSPY Students Explore the Core Missions of the TRB

The Platinum Building welcomed, on June 2, 2026, around sixty third- and fourth-year students from the National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaoundé (ENSPY), accompanied by their supervisors. Under the guidance of Batifotam Clotilde Domisseck, Technical Adviser No. 2, the visit offered these future engineers a concrete introduction to the missions of the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (TRB).
The program opened with a presentation on the electronic communications market, delivered by the Directorate of Licensing, Competition and Interconnection, under the coordination of Essoh Kambo Jules. This session enabled the students to grasp the strategic stakes and dynamics shaping this vital sector.
Continuing the exchanges, Technical Director Miasse Herman Olivier highlighted the challenges of digital transformation and the measures implemented by the TRB to support this ongoing evolution.
The third presentation focused on technical inspections. Adam Talba, Head of the Unit for Monitoring Operating Licenses and Scarce Resources, showcased the technical facilities of the Control Brigade, illustrating the tools and methods used to ensure effective oversight of the sector.
Following an interactive Q&A session, the students deepened their immersion with a guided tour of the traffic monitoring platform housed in the Platinum Building. On the esplanade, they discovered mobile spectrum control equipment and portable devices designed to measure the quality of service (QoS) provided by telecom operators.
This educational experience gave ENSPY students a deeper understanding of the TRB’s missions and a tangible appreciation of the technologies underpinning the regulation of electronic communications in Cameroon. The visit concluded in a convivial atmosphere, marked by enriched knowledge and an open window onto the professional world.
